Yes — I always use magic loop myself (one long circular), but some people prefer two medium-length circulars. And dpns or the new very short circulars are okay after the cast-on (JMCO, a two-sided provisional cast-on) and the first two or three rounds.
Pat, you can check the Events and News tab on the Solefull Socks website to see where I’ll be offering workshops or demos. The only one currently scheduled in Georgia is in Novemeber in Hiawassee, but it’s possible that there will be others before that. I’ll be sure to post them on that website tab when they do. Thanks for asking!

I greatly admire your innovative sock designs. However I wear a full USA size 15 – 16 shoe. Would you be able to advise me how to modify your pattern to make a sock of this size?
I am not concerned about adapting the decorative patterns as my preference is for solid color and simple knit texture in a thick and warm fiber. However my main concern is achieving the structure of a size 15/16 sock.
Can you knit these with circulars, or just dpn’s?

I live in Lilburn Ga . Do you give lessons to learn how to make the “soleful sock”?
